What actually decides the price per kW

Two quotations for the same capacity can differ by a wide margin, and the difference is almost never arbitrary. Module technology and wattage, inverter brand and topology, mounting structure height, cable length between array and inverter, earthing and lightning protection, and the amount of civil work needed all move the figure. A low quote that omits elevated structure or proper DC protection is not cheaper — it is incomplete.

How the PM Surya Ghar subsidy applies

Central financial assistance is ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, with a cap of ₹78,000 for systems of 3 kW and above. It is credited to your bank account after installation, inspection and net meter commissioning through the national portal. The subsidy is tied to sanctioned capacity, not to your invoice value, so paying more for a premium system does not increase the subsidy.

Commercial and industrial pricing works differently

For commercial and industrial consumers there is no residential subsidy. Pricing per kW usually falls as capacity rises, and the investment case rests on your tariff, day-time load and applicable tax treatment such as accelerated depreciation. Larger plants also involve HT/LT interconnection, evacuation study and sometimes transformer-side work, which are priced separately.

Our proposals list capacity, module and inverter make, structure type, protection devices, cabling scope, net metering support, warranty terms and the estimated annual generation for your address. If something is excluded — for example load enhancement charges or extensive civil work — it is stated rather than left ambiguous.
